Panda Express $2.45 Million Data Breach Settlement: How to File Your Claim

Panda Restaurant Group has agreed to a $2.45 million settlement over a data breach that allegedly exposed the personal information of approximately 240,000 current and former employees.
If you received a data breach notification letter from Panda Restaurant Group, you may be eligible for a payout. The deadline to file is April 10, 2026.
What Happened
In or around March 2023, an unauthorized third party allegedly gained access to Panda Restaurant Group's corporate systems and accessed files containing sensitive employee data — including full names, dates of birth, and Social Security numbers.
The class action lawsuit alleged that the company failed to adequately protect the personal information in its possession. Panda Restaurant Group denies any wrongdoing but agreed to settle to avoid further litigation.
The breach impacted employees across all of the company's brands, which include Panda Express, Panda Inn, Hibachi San, Uncle Tetsu, Yakiya, Great Panda, and certain Whataburger locations.
