Mizuno Data Breach Settlement: How to File Your Claim for Up to $5,000

Mizuno USA has agreed to a class action settlement after a 2024 data breach exposed the personal information of approximately 1,200 people.
The breach was discovered on November 6, 2024, but investigators found that hackers had been inside Mizuno's network since August 21, copying files periodically through October 29, 2024. The compromised data includes names, Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, driver's license numbers, and passport numbers. The BianLian ransomware group claimed responsibility for the attack.
Mizuno USA is the American subsidiary of Mizuno Corporation, a Japanese sporting goods company known for making equipment and apparel for baseball, golf, running, volleyball, and other sports.
The lawsuit alleged that Mizuno failed to implement reasonable cybersecurity measures to protect the sensitive information it was storing. Mizuno has not admitted wrongdoing but agreed to settle the case.
