Christian Dior Data Breach Settlement: How to File

Christian Dior has agreed to a class action settlement over a January 2025 data breach that exposed the personal information of U.S. customers — including names, addresses, dates of birth, and in some cases, Social Security numbers.

If you received a notification from Dior by mail or email about the breach, you could be owed money.

What happened

According to the lawsuit, an unauthorized party accessed a Dior customer database in January 2025. The compromised data included names, contact details, home addresses, dates of birth, and government identification numbers. For a smaller group of customers, Social Security numbers were also exposed.

The lawsuit — Michael Toikach, et al. v. Christian Dior, Inc. — was filed in the Circuit Court for Broward County, Florida. Dior denies wrongdoing but agreed to settle to avoid the costs and risks of continued litigation.

Who qualifies

You're eligible if you're a U.S. individual who received a breach notification from Christian Dior — by mail or email — about the January 2025 data incident.

There are two groups:

Tier 1 class members are those whose Social Security numbers were impacted. Your Dior notification would have indicated this. Everyone else who received a notification falls into the general class.

What you can get

The settlement offers three benefits, and you can claim more than one:

Up to $1,500 for documented out-of-pocket expenses or financial losses from fraud or identity theft tied to the breach. Eligible costs include identity theft losses, credit report fees, credit freeze costs, ID replacement, and postage for contacting banks. Losses must have occurred between July 18, 2025 and March 11, 2026, and you'll need receipts or records to back them up.

A flat $100 payment if your Social Security number was exposed — no documentation required.

Two years of CyEx Financial Shield Complete credit monitoring, which includes $1 million in financial fraud insurance.

How to file

You can file your claim online at the settlement website or download and mail a paper form to the settlement administrator. You'll need the unique ID and PIN from your breach notification to file online.
